What is Multiple Sclerosis?

Multiple Sclerosis or “MS” is a disease characterized by dizziness, numbness, deteriorating muscle weakness and sometimes other neurologic symptoms. It usually occurs in patients under the age of 55.

What can Cause Multiple Sclerosis?

The cause is unknown, but it is suspected to be an autoimmune disorder. It occurs largely in individuals who live in temperate zones, and is especially prevalent in individuals of Western European ancestry. There is also a genetic relationship, so it can be passed down. Smoking is also a suspected associated risk for MS.
